A LIVE gig by Deal-based band Euston is rare, as the musicians have been busy working in the studio, but they are back in action at the Astor Community Theatre this month.
Russell English is lead singer and rhythm guitarist, Ian Banks looks after keyboards and vocals, Russell Cramphorn is on lead guitar, bass player is Chris Weeks and Simon Jackson completes the line-up on drums as well as singing too.
The band is waiving its fee for a charity gig at the Pink Performance Night at the Stanhope Road theatre on Sunday, October 30th.
Russell Cramphorn said: "Formed over a decade ago, and with four records and a string of appearances at some of London's top unsigned venues behind us, a live gig from Euston is now something of a rarity.
"In fact, in the last five years the band has spent more time in the studio together than they have on-stage, something the band is looking to put right"
Having reformed after a two year break, the band played its first gig at this summer's Lions Den Music Festival at the rugby club in Walmer.
Russell added: "It is with great pleasure that Euston will be performing at the Astor to help raise money and awareness for brest cancer. It is a good cause and its importance is recognised by all members of the band.
"For those of you who haven't seen us before, expect soaring melodies, instinctive harmonies and the likelihood that you'll recognise at least one of the band members from another local band!
"We will be playing a mixture of original tracks and covers from the last decade, crossing a number of musical genres. Please come along and support a great band and an even greater cause."
Tickets for the Pink Performance Night at the Astor Community Theatre, Stanhope Road, Deal, on Sunday, October 30th, are now on sale for £4 from the Astor and also SoundHouse opposite Deal Town Hall. Doors open at 6pm.
Deal singer Rebecca Robinson is also on stage and the night is sponsored by Dance Web Radio and JNS Sounds. All cash raised goes to Breakthrough Breast Cancer. |
